BREWERY // The bottle in your hand proudly displays a portrait of Ozzy, a zombie space chimp and leader of the Boneface Outlaws from Planet Hoptron. Every Boneface beer is named after a character from the planet of the hops who will eventually feature in a comic book. Fans of beer, sci-fi & Black Sabbath, Matt & Selena opened their brewery two and half years ago in Upper Hutt after Matt had spent years brewing at around the country. They decided to set up in Upper Hutt's 'BrewTown' alongside Kereru, Te Aro & Panhead (Lion/Kirin). Their re-vamped warehouse is not only home to the brewery but also a taproom, bar and restaurant serving up delicious pizza and smoked meat alongside the awesome beers.
BEER // The world over, brewers seek out New Zealand hops for their unique flavours and aromas. The Unit puts lashings of hops to work making for a well balanced IPA with plenty of grapefruit citrus, grassy, tropical pineapple notes. It's freshhh tasting and medium bodied with a solid bitterness. This unfiltered juicy beer may be one of the most unique core range IPAs around.
