Half Marathon Ticket 2026 Beer Jerk Run Club

Time for our annual Beer Jerk Run Club Half Marathon!

NOTE - The print deadline for tees has now passed. You can still purchase the option with no tee.

Saturday 18 April

For almost 9 years the BJRC have met weekly for a casual 5km run followed by a beer or two. We are doubling (quadrupling!) down for our annual longer run followed by some well deserved afternoon beers in our urban beer garden. If 21km is a bit much, there is also an option to do a 10km run.

What is it?
This is a very casual fun event for runners to challenge themselves. There will be a hydration station along the route. Your entry also includes a beer (or other drink) plus entry into the prize draw where we'll be giving away a bunch of cool goodies.

It’s a social event so be sure to bring along family, friends, and maybe a change of clothes, to enjoy some drinks after the run. 

What do I get for my entry fee?

What isn’t it?
It is definitely not a race, there will be no stewards, no road closures, no first aiders, no official timekeeping and no first place prize. Upon arrival we'll ask you to sign a waiver stating that you are running at your own risk and understand this is not a professional event. While we heartily encourage everyone to push themselves, this is simply a bumper version of our regular runs - there is no 'winner' and our focus is on everyone having a safe fun time.

What’s the route?
The route is around the four regular BJRC routes. If it’s your first time, be sure to arrive early to acquaint yourself with it and we'll talk you through. 

What about my stuff?
You can leave your stuff safely at the taproom while you run.

Parking
There is no car parking at our venue or on Shaddock Street while roadworks related to the station build are still underway. There is plenty of parking on Mount Eden Road, neighbouring streets and car parks. There are bus stops and a train station (Grafton) nearby. There is plenty of room to park bikes at the taproom.

Tell me about the tee!
As always, the brilliant Paul Huxen has designed this awesome tee. They are being lovingly printed to order and will be available to collect on the day. For this reason, we will be closing entries in advance of the day. The tees are AS Colour Men's and Women's casual cotton tees, not technical tees. Please check the sizing guide on their site to ensure you order the correct size.
