XX Fest is a place to celebrate diversity in the beer industry. There will be beer, food, music, and super interesting talks offered by some incredibly talented women within the industry. 

The festival takes place on Friday 31st and February 1st 2020

Grab your tickets for the day session on Saturday 1st February where you’ll have the chance to do some Beer Yoga with KK Yoga, learn about charcuterie from A Lady Butcher, have a Dessert Experience and ask our jam-packed panels your burning beer questions, then stick around for the closing party that evening where we will be pouring 12 beers from some of the country's best breweries led by some amazing women.

Tickets include a glass of our new XX Fest beer from The Curator Project  and access to our amazing panel discussions.

We love the fizzy stuff, but what happens next?  - Dr Rothman Kam, lecturer in Food Technology at AUT - Auckland University of Technology has got some insight into what do with beer wastage. Specifically, how spent grains from the mash can be re-used or recycled.

Big beer and society -  Look beyond just craft to bigger breweries in NZ and the impact of the industry on wider society. Beer writer for The Spinoff Alice Neville, and Nicola Kay the Craft Technical Services Manager for Lion Nathan will both be speaking

Beer, business, and balance - Some of our busiest bees will be on this panel including Hannah Miller from A Lady Butcher and Sami from Satya Chai Lounge Satya Spice and Chai Shop

Representation- You can't be what you can't see - featuring such legends as Dr Kathleen Keuhn -senior lecturer in the School of English, Film, Theatre and Media Studies at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, Alyssa Prentice - from the Bottle Stop Beer Shop and member of Pink Boots, and Becca O'Shea - freelance graphic designer, art director, and illustrator whose works have graced Garage Project beers.

9.3% of the profits from the festival will be donated to Women’s Fund, a community of generous women who work together to create opportunities for women and girls in our city. They support projects that help and empower women to reach their full potential and achieve the best outcomes.
