We took half of the batch of Untrapped Potential and infused it with a ridiculous quantity of NZ Black Perigord Truffles from the Hawkes Bay. The result is indulgent and outrageous, and yet still at an accessible price point. Will keep for a couple of years in package, but supplies are limited.

Kereru does it again

Kereru Truffle Hound truffled Belgian quadruppel. Cola brown with a cream head. At first sniff, there is a whiff of milk chocolate and toffee. It tastes like a Rochefort 10 from what I remember. Upfront there is malt candy and then the round and very slightly and acceptably sweet/sour tinge you get out of milk or the end of a Werther's Original candy. There is little hop present and the little bitterness that lingers is similar to that of a very clean pilsner. Overall this is dangerously drinkable and would go well with some sticky BBQ ribs.
