One of my favourite Stouts FULL Flavor, like drinking a burnt sticky toffee pudding.
Tried this at room temperature, deep and dark in the glass. Full on coffee and dark chocolate on the nose. In the mouth, a heavy weight explosion of coffee notes. Followed closely by a boozy left hook that sits nicely with the rest of the flavours going on in the mouth. Finishes slightly bitter. Garbage Stout? No, but presents a real handful of flavours.
Hides its 11.8% amazingly well.
Have never come across a more misnamed beer! Far from being garbage, it was one tasty punchy stout - yum
GP consistently produce interesting and novel beers, and this is no exception. Perfect drop for a winter evening. Full of body and flavour.
