Six Of The Best - Barrel Aged Sours - 6 Beer Mixed Case

$100.00 NZD
Pucker up for the sourest, funkiest, tartest ales around. These Barrel Aged sours are not for the faint of heart. Aged for years in oak and supremely cellarable.

This case contains the following beers:

Garage Project Muse #2
Taking the Muse house sour and infusing it with stunning colour, aromatics and flavour of dried hibiscus flower and the lifted citrus twist of freshly zested lemon peel.

Hallertau Funkonnay
This beer spends a year in Chardonnay barrels partying with the nicest bugs we know. Lean and fruity, peachy and very dry. Delicate, racy and moreish.

Wilderness Cerise
This dark saison spent 10 months in a freshly emptied ex. Canterbury wine barrel on top of Canterbury raspberries and Otago sour cherries. Wilderness also pitched a blend of brettanomyces which brings some background complexity to the beer. This beer is all about showcasing south island produce. No bacteria was pitched into this beer - all the acidity is coming from the sour cherries, emphasized by a complete fermentation.

Brekeriet - Vild Howdy
Howdy is a delicate kettle sour brewed in May last year, then aged in a wine foeder and dry-hopped with Huell Melon.

Howdy is a collaboration with our great friends from Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co.

Craftwork X Ninebarnyardowls
A spontaneous lambic style ale. Soured in a koelschip this was brewed in collaboration with Brayden Rawlinson and Craftwork.

8Wired Wild Feijoa
Ale brewed with feijoas & aged in wine barrels. This is the third vintage of this variety, with Wild Feijoa 2015 and 2016 being released the last 2 years... be sure to savour the flavour.
